“We have an opportunity this session to truly make a difference in the lives of every Texas child, in every region of the state,” said Courtney Boswell, executive director of Texas Aspires. “The success of Texas depends on the success of our children. Working together, we must seize the moment and implement education policies that put our children first.”
Texas Aspires recommended legislators implement policies that increase student achievement; provide excellent educators in every classroom; urge school districts to drive innovation and operate more efficiently; ensure our P-16 education system is effective, accountable and transparent, and work to make high-quality education options available for families and students.
“Over the coming months, Texas Aspires looks forward to working with legislators, statewide leadership, educators and community leaders to address the education challenges facing our state,” Boswell added. “The children in our schools today will be the leaders of our state tomorrow. We must provide them with the very best education resources and tools that will allow them to reach their full potential of success in life.”Print
