Texas Aspires Statement on Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative Recommendations

AUSTIN – Below is Texas Aspires Executive Director Courtney Boswell’s statement following the release of the final report of Governor Abbott’s Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative joint task force.

“Texas Aspires applauds Governor Abbott for prioritizing workforce readiness and establishing a task force that brings together commissioners of the Texas Education Agency, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and the Texas Workforce Commission. This holistic approach provides the necessary insights needed to ensure that our state’s policies create an environment wherein every Texas high school graduate is prepared to enter the workforce prepared for success and can adequately contribute to a stronger Texas. Guided by our mission, Texas Aspires looks forward to being an integral part of seeing the commissioners’ vision put into action for the betterment of the Lone Star State.”
